Type Locality and Naming
The type section is located at Qudi, northwest of Jibian village, Duoma District, Ritu County, Tibet. It was named by Liang Dingyi et al. in 1982
Lithology and Thickness
Clastics. Composed of grey-white quartz-sandstone and pebbled coarse-grained sandstone, black silty slate and a small amount of pebbled slate. Its upper part in the Nazha region contains two layers of limestone lenses. Thickness is 1200 m.

Lower contact
Conformable contact with the underlying Zhanjin Fm
Upper contact
Conformable contact with the overlying Tunlonggongba Fm
Regional extent
Distributed in the Duoma Region of the Ritu County, Tibet.

Fossils
Yields the Bivalve Oriocrassatella-Schizodus assemblage, and the Brachiopod Subansiria ranganensis-Neospirifer faciger assemblage, the features of which are similar to those of the fauna found in the Subanxili area. In the Nazha Region the limestone lenses in the upper part of the Qudi Fm yield also Fusulinida represented by Schwagerina, Pseudofusulina, Pamirina, Eoparafusulina, Rugosofusulina and Chalaroschwagerina, being to the Pamirina-Eoparafusulina zone of Fusulinida, being similar to those of the Fusulinida fauna of the Longlinian Stage of the Chuanshanian Epoch in South China.
